Cats and Dogs

Da ich gerade noch nachträglich die tollsten Geburtstagsgeschenke bekommen habe und außerdem auch noch gar nicht mit meinem Geburtstagskuchen angegeben habe (meine Kollegen sind unglaublich!) hier also noch ein völlig verspäteter Geschenkepost. Der Katzenfingerhut ist aus Brüssel und verrückterweise aus Silber, der Katzenrahmen ist aus Wien und von Les chats de Dubout, die alte Hunde-Grafik ist aus dem Antiquariat für Papierantiquitäten in dem ich mal gearbeitet habe und der passende Song dazu ist hier. Und ich bin wirklich glücklich. Nun steht mir noch ein ziemlich anstrengendes Wochenende bevor und nächste Woche gibt es dann weitere Katzennews – bon week-end !

I just the got the most amazing belated birthday presents and as I have not gotten around to show off the birthday cake that I got a few weeks ago (my colleagues are incredible!) I just decided to make a very belated post about all this. The cat thimble is from Brussels and made of silver, the cat frame is from Vienna and by Les chats de Dubout, the old dog graphic is from the antiquarian bookstore that I used to work for and the corresponding song is here. I am a happy girl. My weekend will be very busy and there are more cat related news coming up soon – bon week-end!

30!

Montag war mein erster runder Geburtstag seit einem Jahrzehnt und ich hätte ihn kaum schöner feiern können. Wir haben einen Ausflug zum berühmten Neanderthal gemacht, waren erst im Museum und dann im eigentlichen Tal spazieren. Sogar die Sonne hat sich kurz blicken lassen, zu meiner großen Freude! Getragen habe ich wieder meinen bewährten Spitzenrock und die tollste Jacke/Capelet der Welt – ein Geburtstagsgeschenk ♥ (bekommen kann man sie hier).

So Monday was my 30th birthday and I had the most wonderful day. We made a tour to the famous Neanderthal, visited the museum there and made a walk through the beautiful valley where the Homo neanderthalensis was discovered 150 years ago. Even the sun came out for a moment, it was so great! I wore my beloved lace skirt and the most amazing jacket/caplet – a birthday present ♥ (it is available here).
