Der Wasserstand des Rheins ist hoch und auf eins der Ausflugsboote nahe der Deutzer Brücke hätte ich vom Brückengeländer aus recht mühelos hüpfen können. Ich bin dort eine Weile stehengeblieben und habe mir die Refektionen auf dem Wasser und den regennassen Oberflächen angesehen. Ich unterschätze immer wie schön meine Wege auch im Dunkeln sind, ich sollte mich demnächst noch mal mit besserer Kamera und Stativ auf den Heimweg machen. Zu Silvester hatte ich in ganz ähnlicher Stimmung einige kleine Feuerwerke photographiert und sie dann wieder vergessen – nun bin ich fast froh darüber weil sie hier so schön passen. // The waterlevel of the rhine is high and it would have been easy to jump on one of the excursion boats near the promenade today from the bridge that I usually cross. I stood there for a while, observing the reflections on the river and the rainy streets. I tend to underestimate the beauty of these walks in the dark, I should do them more often (and should take my camera and tripod with me). I took a few photos of small fireworks on new year’s eve in a very similiar mood and forgot about them – I am almost happy that I did because they go so well with today’s photographs.
